POLICY #1 REMOVAL OF DELINQUENT MEMBERSHIP FROM ACTIVE An invoice will be mailed 30 days prior to the expiration of the member’s annual membership. The first week after the membership investment was due a second invoice should be mailed stating that the investment is late and payable immediately. If the delinquency reaches 30 days past due, a third invoice should be mailed with a letter stating the investment is 30 days past due. If the delinquency reaches 45 days past due, the Board of Directors should then be notified to make a personal contact regarding the member’s investment. If the delinquency reaches 60 days past due, and no arrangements have been made by the member, a letter and final invoice should be mailed explaining that if the investment is not made within 10 days of the notice, they shall cease to be a member of the Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce. Adopted 06/18/97, Revised 10/17/07 POLICY #2 ENDORSEMENT POLICY The chairman shall appoint an endorsement review committee as needed. The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce will conduct a process for evaluating requests for endorsements from organizations, agencies, individuals, committees, and members by using the following criteria: Request for Endorsement Evaluation Form Rate each item: 1=Unfavorable, 2=Moderate, 3=Favorable _____Fit with Chamber mission _____Benefit to members • Business impact • Personal impact _____Ability or probability of success • Basis or experience or track record • Longevity • Impact without project _____Long Range community impact • Effect on attractiveness of community • Necessary service • Consequence of time frame _____Magnitude of economic impact • Continuing costs • Future requests • Short term operational costs _____Relationship to the Chamber • Member or sponsored activity • Active supporters of the Chamber _____Total out of a possible 18 Does the review team recommend endorsement by the Chamber Board of Directors? _____Yes _____No If not, the review team recommends taking the following step(s): _____Make information gathered available to the Board _____Make information gathered available to the membership _____Do nothing _____Other _____________________________________________________________ Adopted 01/20/99, Revised 10/17/07 POLICY #3 FEE POLICY The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce will continue to allow chamber member organizations to use the Chamber of Commerce Credit Card Terminal. The fee will be 1% above the current rate charge by our bank and .40 cents per transaction. The chamber will charge an administrative fee of 10% of all sales of all tickets, books, or any other items for chamber member organizations. This is in addition to any credit card terminal fees that will be charged for transactions. This fee reflects the amount of chamber staff time these activities take to process. Adopted 11/16/05, Revised 10/17/07 POLICY #4 MULTIPLE BUSINESS OWNERS MEMBERSHIP RATES The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce recognizes and appreciates that there are business owners that may own more than one business and therefore will only charge the current full membership rate for the business that employs the most people and will charge half the current rate of all subsequent businesses that an individual may own. Adopted 10/17/07 POLICY #5 EVENT MANAGEMENT POLICY The Grayling Regional Chamber of Commerce will strive to operate its events at a profit. Each event will be reviewed by the board at the conclusion of the event. Adopted
